1. Our accessibility commitment
Glutathione Training aims to provide a professional website and learning environment that can be used by as many people as reasonably possible, including people who use assistive technologies or have visual, hearing, motor, cognitive or other accessibility requirements.
Accessibility is treated as an ongoing part of platform development rather than a one-time exercise. As new functionality and educational formats are introduced, we aim to consider accessibility in their design, testing and review.
2. Accessibility standards
Our direction of travel is to align the public website and core learning experience with recognised web-accessibility principles, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), where reasonably applicable.
This statement does not claim that every page or item of educational content has already achieved a particular formal WCAG conformance level unless that has been separately tested and verified.
3. Website structure and navigation
We aim to support accessibility through measures including:
- clear page titles and heading structures;
- consistent navigation;
- descriptive link text where practicable;
- responsive layouts for different screen sizes;
- readable typography and spacing;
- appropriate colour contrast;
- keyboard-accessible controls where technically applicable;
- visible labels and validation information for forms.
4. Keyboard use
Core website and learning-platform functionality should, where practicable, be usable without requiring a mouse.
Interactive controls should use appropriate native elements or equivalent accessible behaviour so that keyboard users can navigate and activate them.
5. Screen readers and semantic structure
We aim to use meaningful HTML structure, form labels, headings and other semantic information to improve compatibility with screen readers and comparable assistive technologies.
Decorative images should not unnecessarily interfere with assistive technology, while meaningful images should be accompanied by suitable alternative information where appropriate.
6. Images, diagrams and scientific material
Glutathione Training includes scientific and educational material that may use diagrams, molecular illustrations, charts, tables or other visual information.
Where a visual element communicates information required for learning, we aim to provide appropriate supporting text, captions, explanation or alternative information where reasonably practicable.
7. Video and multimedia
The learning platform supports video content and subtitle/caption files. Where video forms a substantive part of learning, we aim to improve accessibility through captions, subtitles, transcripts or equivalent supporting material as appropriate.
Older, external or third-party multimedia may not always provide the same level of accessibility as content controlled directly by Glutathione Training.
8. Assessments
Assessments may include multiple-choice questions, written submissions, reflective activities and other forms of professional learning evidence.
We aim to design assessment interfaces that are clear and usable while preserving the academic and competency requirements of the course.
Where a learner experiences an accessibility barrier that materially affects their ability to complete an assessment, they should contact us so that the issue can be considered.
9. Reasonable adjustments
Where appropriate and reasonably practicable, we will consider requests for adjustments that enable a learner to access education without undermining the learning outcomes, assessment integrity, competency standard or essential requirements of the course.
An adjustment cannot necessarily remove a substantive competency requirement that the learner must demonstrate for successful completion.
10. Documents and downloadable materials
Some educational resources may be supplied as downloadable documents. We aim to improve the accessibility of newly produced documents through appropriate structure and formatting.
Certain scientific papers, historical documents or external resources may originate from third parties and may not be fully accessible.
11. External websites and resources
Our courses and public pages may link to research databases, journals, professional bodies, regulators, product information or other independent websites.
Glutathione Training does not control the accessibility of independent third-party websites.
12. Browser and device support
The website is designed to work with modern web browsers and responsive screen sizes. Very old browsers, unsupported devices or heavily modified browser environments may not display all functionality as intended.
13. Known limitations
The platform is under continuing development. Accessibility limitations may therefore occasionally be identified in legacy content, complex scientific visualisations, third-party content, downloadable resources or newly introduced functionality.
14. Reporting an accessibility problem
We welcome reports of genuine accessibility barriers. When contacting us, it is helpful to include:
- the page or course affected;
- the nature of the accessibility problem;
- the browser or device being used, where relevant;
- the assistive technology involved, where relevant;
- what you were trying to accomplish.
15. Alternative formats
Where reasonably practicable, we may be able to provide information in an alternative format or identify another accessible method of obtaining the relevant information.
Availability will depend on the nature of the material and whether an alternative format can preserve the educational meaning, assessment integrity and applicable intellectual property restrictions.
16. Continuing review
Accessibility will continue to be considered as the public website, course catalogue, multimedia functionality, assessment system and learner interfaces develop.
17. Accessibility contact
To report an accessibility issue or request assistance, use our Contact Us page.
Registered learners can also use the learner Support Centre for an accessibility problem affecting an existing course or account.
